i dont know what part of the state you live in but in madison thereis a DORN hardware store that has it,also by wausau there is a jonas gun shop. hope this helps :hatsoff:

Try Fleet Farm, dont know if they still have it but i got some there last year.

I checked with Gander Mt in Green Bay, no luck on the Goex BP. I did purchase some Goex Pinnacle FFF and plan to give it a try. Im looking for Something with better ignition than Pyrodex RS maybe this will do the trick. :hmm:

The Gander Mtn in Marquette, Michigan carries it. It must be in the supply channel for all their stores. Try asking your local Gander Mtn to special order some for you.

Thanks Curley Ill check it out on my next rip to Green Bay. Last weekend I did experiment a bit with some Goex FFF pinnacle in my TC White Mt carbine with a CCI musket cap. I did get very good igniton and experienced no delays as I would sometimes get with Pyrodex RS.

I just bought Goex from Bills Sportshop in Lomira off HYW 41 between Milwaukee and Fond du Lac. It is a small store on the hillside in downtown Lomira. Donot confuse with Shooters Supply which is a big sportshop right off the highway. I bought 2F, I know they had more choices as I bought 4f last year. sorry this is so late from your original post.

Olson Sales in Green Bay still carries black powder, but it's kind of pot luck on what brand they will have at any given time. I was there this week but the only thing they had in ffg or fffg was Elephant so I only bought a pound. Runs about $21/pound. Olsons is on Limekiln Road but it hasn't been "out in the country" for awhile now - sadly, urban sprawl continues.

Google goex on the net, and find a local distributor on the site. Then contact the distributor by phone or email, and they will tell you where the nearest store is that handles Black Powder. Goex wants to sell its products, and so do its distributors.

I don't see the big deal about buying black powder locally. I found a local source and it was $20 lb. + tax. I ordered a 5 pound lot of GOEX from Powder Inc. and even with hazmat and shipping, it came to only $17.80 a pound.

If I would have ordered in bulk, it would have been even cheaper.
