I live about 1 1/2 hours north of Caywood's shop and know Danny Caywood, and Mike Rowe, who makes their locks personally. After purchasing an English Fowler and two barrels from them I can say that they are very interested in making the customer happy. I have examined several of their guns and have always found their quality to be excellent; especially their locks. It is also comforting to know that when you buy a gun or a lock from them, you are doing business with people who spend time and money supporting our Second Amendment rights and actively promoting the shooting sports. -Smoothshooter-

:applause: I have a 56 cal. S/B from T/C. and it shoots great out to 75 yds. then it starts to open up some. BUT the kicker is the stock cracked and I sent back to T/C and you should see the great stock they sent back! AT NO COST. These people are great to work with and if anyone can top that let me know. Most of the time these days we have to fight to get thing fixed. No matter what gun you end up you will like the shooting.
Good luck.

There was a prior thread regarding someone who had some kind of problems with a lock and customer service from Caywood. There were several other members who chimed in with negative comments about the company, with very few defending Caywood other than to say that we were only hearing the complainants side of the situation.

Swank,

I am not familiar with the previous thread you mention as I have just joined this forum. However, I have owned a Caywood Wilson for several years and have nothing but the highest praise for the gun, the company and Danny Caywood. I have called Caywood a couple of times and have always got Danny on the phone. A simple question usually turns into a good conversation like old friends around a campfire. I would not hesitate to recommend Caywood to you.
