Any of you folks using the White Lightning lube melted into felt wads? I had a bunch of it laying around in a pan I used for lubing BPCR bullets. I'm not pan lubing bullets any more, so when I wanted to try making some lubed felt wads for C&B revolvers, I melted some down and dipped the pre-cut felt wads into the melt. Must say, although the jury's still out, it shows great promise. For one thing, it's very stiff and resistant to running off with heat. Feels more waxy than greasy.

I also have recently gotten hold of some mutton tallow and beeswax and will try a more traditional mix, but White Lightning was the lube I used very successfully in BPCR and it seems to work for revolvers as well.

I would certainly expect that from WL lube as many over on the Shiloh forum use it for their BP
CR lube with great results.
I have corresponded with the inventor in many postings and several phone conversations about the product but have never personally used it.
I have not heard anything negative about the lube. It works very well in hot dry conditions I'm told from those who use it. MD

I bought a block last spring to use for cartridge loads and to try as a mini lube neither of which has happened yet. Have any of you used it on a mini or conical in a muzzleloader?
