I name all of them. But to avoid confusion, jealousy, and anger, they all have the same name---HerShey....As in I'll take her with me in the morning cuz she shoots real good....

I call them the name of the rifle they are designed after, Beck rifle, Haines rifle, Bogle rifle, TN rifle, fowler, trade gun, TC and such. I have one rifle a friend gave to me on his death bed, his nickname was "Biff" so I call it Biff's rifle even though he is long gone. If I tell my friends " I killed a deer with Biff's rifle" they know exactly what rifle I used.

Miss Sally.

I only named one rifle. The day I went to the range for the first shots, hurricane Elena changed directions and started heading to the coastline where I lived at the time. Got home and had to pack up for evacuation. That rifle is Elena and the only gun that has been given a name other than a simple descriptive term, such as the King's Musket, Derringer Rifle, Harper's Ferry et. al.

I built a Kibler SMR for my grandson for his 12th birthday and he named it the kraken. My granddaughter was a little jealous so when I built mine I stained it red and named it Rose Red for her, her name is Rosalee and she is a blue eyed redhead. She was very happy when I told her.

My first flinter was a Pedo 1803 Harper's Ferry. It broke so often, we named it "Ye Ole Fence Post"
Fore the threat was it would be used as one.
Good thing the EX took it with her when she left.

My last flinter has been around for almost 20 years, and has escaped being named.

The GRRW Hawken is named "Loomsk", Swedish for Sneaky. Faced into the wind 3 times 2 years ago, had deer walk up behind me. Faced the opposite direction next time and they walked in behind me from the other direction. One came within range and she was sausage.

Have a 20 lb sledge named "Lucille". bought it for $4 at a yard sale. It was brand new with slight rust on the top. I figured somebody bought it, swung it once and said "That's enough of that" and set it on it's head until the yard sale. Over the years I had it if Lucille came into play, whatever we were working on, moved!!
