I just received some flints from TOTW. I specified no humps. And the ones I've received look decent. In the past, half of each dozen would have humps. So yes, it apparently works if you tell them no humps.

I use Heritage products - Really nice folks and I have never received a flint that I had to modify.
I have purchased 3 different sizes from them - I really like the French Amber.

I am a repeat buyer from Heritage, as mentioned, nice folks.
You get quality flints, order 12 and get an extra thrown in.

Have bought Tom Fuller from TOW, too many humps.

I need to find flints re knapped so often the bevel won't take more. These discards wouid be packaged in 100 or other quantity lots in stiff paper with period correct printing for teaching purposes. They give the feel and heft of real flints since that is what they are but unless someone opens the package they won't know that they are spent ones. Sort of like making the Lewis and Clark powder containers of lead whose amount of powder is enough to shoot the lead package when melted down and cast into round balls. Who is to know that you put black powder in it or corn meal or something of equivalent density. Unless you have access to large spalls to run burins off the top edge you can go through a lot of stone to make your own flints. Agate flints cut on lapidary wheels are another source of gun flints but they tend to no re knap well given their hardness. Gunther Stifter of Germany used to make and sell some.
