it would be interesting if they chose the traditional path, it seems to be a trend that some states are leaning towards.
 
I gotta say I just found reasons to question my use of receiver sights.

Following advice here I put a thin (0.050") silver front blade and a rear sight with a very narrow notch on the rifle I just finished.

Even with my creaky old eyes, those things stand out! I've been using a peep close to my eyes to help focus the front sight, but in many ways the narrow gap on either side of that bright front sight work the same way, even if the rear sight is further from my eye than the peep.

Looks really good and more "authentic" than the Williams, too. Still gotta try and shoot in lower light and against darker targets to be sure, but so far I am impressed.
