I'm sure you've been searching the internet and finding info. When it comes to traditional muzzleloader hunting on Youtube, three of my favorites are below.

Brian Beckum also has DVDs available on his commercial website that are very good and cover many aspects of hunting with traditionals arms, loading, cleaning, etc. My favorite is "Real Black Powder" but they are all good and cover deer, turkey, squirrels, and hogs. Some are available full length on Youtube now.

Leatherwood many times includes still hunting in its videos.

Enjoy!
Thank you!

I don't know if you hunt anything?

it would help to get into small game. Cover more ground scouting.

Don't just look for deer when scouting.. you will find a good spot to hunt other game.

It's.. I've sent a few down a hill. It's just that's what it is.. call the wife tell her it's going to be a while.

I have though out there..
should go pick up a Mexican or two from home depot or the gas station and just tell them help drag it out and give them a leg or split it with them..

That branch that's broken funny.. that's what them browsing looks like.. the nip the ends and it usually has that tongue like that..

That little ground scrape is fresh. Nice dark dirt.

The tree rub.. it's old. Last year. But it's there.

I was going to hunt there on that morning.. I slept in and was like ehh..

What bothers me is the body size.. I think it was him.

Here the deer eat browse mostly.. they fill there belly full of it some how.

They are selective of browse. Where and what they nip at. it's a good spot if your seeing the tips of everything bitten.. it's not easy to see, you have to be looking for it..

The branch I posted the deer bite.. was a deer..

Is an old bite.. it's not deer browsing. It was just one branch I saw like that there.. it was about 5 feet of the ground..

That might be a buck. There was probably a little scrape there last year and that's his nipping and licker branch thing they do.

A couple field dressing youtubes.

Gps start with everything a half hour away around you.. then drift further.

I don't know if I missed anything..

Take a hunter Ed course. Get the hunting license. And go..

You don't need anyone.. just tell someone where you're going. Even if they have no clue they know what forest and that you should call when home.

When scouting..
walking the trails to start is OK..

See where the deer cross the trail.. when you find where they crossing the trail. You can follow that into the woods a little see where it goes.

Basically.. take it easy. The walking path is good to walk the path.. post along it where you see there crossing..

Basically just don't go flying into the woods and searching around walking this way then that way and then your lost.

If trail hunting with someone..

You post.. they walk up the trail till they find a spot to post..

Then after a while you walk up to them and go find a spot to post ahead of them on the trail..

Leap frog hunting.

When one is walking the other is posted..

Leap frog is funner with more hunters..

Basically you have 3 friends or more posted on deer crossing waiting ahead of the last hunter waiting to come up and post ahead..

It takes a while but you cut a line of hunters into the woods..

Remember that walk is slow 🐌
