Pretty simple hawk/axe made from wrought. We jump welded a piece of 1065 on the face of the hammer poll. heat treated it like a hammer. The cutting edge was a piece of old black diamond file. If you look close you can still see the file teeth in the weld..

Its when two seperate pices of material are brought to welding heat then placed into position and forge welded together.. :thumbsup:
