I don't think I could have ran fast enough to catch that deer and slit its throat. The deer was still almost as fast as a regular deer.
 
When watching for deer you have shoot at take always a gun with you which is ready to shoot!

we all learn and it is usually by making some mistakes as long as they are not with firearm safety they are valuable. Do not let this get you down and real bp is so much more reliable than the other stuff in shooting consistency on the range and going off in the field. I used up the last of my clean shot and now use goex I find it better when my gun is loaded all weekend. I only saw one deer in MCLean county all weekend early bowhunting lake evergreen got close to some the last couple days.
 
Mclean County? I have been around there and it doesn't look like you have too many trees. How do you hunt over there?
