Wife has decided to sell her flintlock to fund parts for a rifle that I personally can build her. She never did take well to shooting a flintlock rifle and preferred her little youth Pecatonica caplock instead. This is a Tip Curtis in the white assembly that we bought several years ago from Tip at his shop at Cross Plains, Tn. Make note that it is not signed by him. It has a Colerain 38" swamped .40 caliber; M&G lock; Davis set triggers and decently curled maple stock with a 12 1/2" LOP...very low number of shots have fired from this gun. She's asking $1300 which includes shipping....for your consideration a few pics and more upon request.

Curley:

"In the white" indicates the steel surfaces are left unblued or without browning or other types of finish on them.

If someone buys a gun from a maker and it is described as "in the white" it also means the stock doesn't have any finish on it.

Obviously, this rifles stock has received a very nice finish on the stock.

Thank you I learn more every time I view this forum

To answer a few questions....It weighs a tad over 7 lbs. I'm sure it's an "A" weight barrel that balances nicely.

M/G for Mold and Gun Shop also marked "Z" for Larry Zorn. Mr. Zorn makes a good lock.

At present a SALE IS PENDING....will update asap.

And Yes, Tip was a great guy. He and his muzzle loading store will be sorely missed.

I'm not quite sure yet. It will probably be a caplock since that is what she prefers. The only thing for sure, as of now, is that I have a Charlie Burton barrel ordered... It's an "A" weight .45 caliber 36" long.
