Who here is also a pipe smoker? Not necessarily int he traditional sense....but enjoys a good pipe and tobacco after a day of shooting. .I would love to know what your are smoking (pipe) and what is your favorite blend....For me I smoke a few pipes, but my go to right now is a Missouri Meerschaum Dune Cobbit pipe, and I love County Squire Tombigbee......

When I do smoke a pipe which is rare these days, I have seven or eight pipes I switch around. The style of pipe goes from a bent bulldog to a straight pot style. Tobacco would be a Danish of GOOD quality to Sir Walter Raleigh - it all depends on my mood and what bourbon I am sipping at the time.

I had a Sherlock Holmes large type of pipe. Calabash? Not sure. I would smoke it and look at things closely, not saying a word……then look off in the distance….. people assumed I was some kind of genius, asked me all sorts of things.

I don't smoke one but twice a year. On Halloween with a wizard's pipe and on Christmas day just because. I have several pipes but my favorite is a Churchwarden long stemmed pipe. One is a clay pipe but I don't think it is Historically correct.

I loved smoking a pipe. But I also loved smoking cigarettes. it's been 1 year and a half that I stop smoking Cigarettes. I'm afraid that if I smoke a pipe i might start smoking Cig's again. I love a good English Tabacco blend

Only pipe's I smoke nowadays are a .50 and .40 bore . I quit tobacco pipes about 1971 , when it was announced the tobacco companies applied formaldehyde , embalming fluid , to the tobacco leaves drying in their warehouses , to prevent mold growth loss. All the hospitals I worked in banned smoking due to this. I'm thankful I quit , and I'm still here.

Congrats and it's a good thing that you have the self control to avoid ending up smoking cigs again. I quit smoking cigarettes over 2 years ago but I deserve no congratulations... I substituted a vape for the cigs that I planned to wean off eventually but I'm still puffing on that. And the occasional Swisher Sweet cigar that I'd have when fishing turned into a daily habit! So I quit one awful habit and picked up two more... 🥴

I'm not picky about the pipe - corn cob works well, but I can't pack much into the little bowl, and another couple I've picked up over the past few years work well, too. The tobacco tho - I'm stuck on the cherry blend the little pipe shop down on First St in St. Charles makes. It makes me remember my uncle, who smoked it all the time when I was a kid....

As a side note, the calabash pipe was used by an actor on stage so the audience could see it. (I used to work in a pipe shop) they are good smokers.

I use to get Captain Black.. I liked it.

Had s nice cheap but nice Italian pipe..

haven't found a good "Tobacco" pipe at any of these smoke shops anywhere.

Was thinking ordering a Dr Grabow pipe.

My dad smoked Luckys till he was 45. Decided that cigarettes were bad for his health so he took up the pipe. Lived the last 20 years of his life with severe emphysema. For me it took all the romance out smoking. I quit. Best decision I ever made for my health.

And, let me say I'm not condemning those who smoke or the tobacco industry. I'm all for freedom of choice but don't hesitate to mention the flip side.

One of my best friends owned a hardware store he didn't smoke anything but one day he told me if a salesman walked into his store smoking a pipe, back before the correction crowd stopped smoking in businesses, he wouldn't buy anything from them. He said all their concentration was on keeping it lit and their hands were busy holding it or tamping it. He said he wasn't going to waste a second waiting on him.

I'd like to know what Bilbo Baggins smoked in his pipe at the Shire. 🥴
I believe they just called it “pipe weed”. 😁

I get American club pipe tobacco red bag.
Tube cigarettes.. Electric Machine.

Former here. For many years until my daughter begged me to quit smoking entirely. She wouldn't even consent to me using my original clay at rendezvous. I have a beautiful carved meerschaum that was gifted to me that has never been used.
