Anyone get a Pietta G&G Clone from this most recent batch?

I want to order the Pietta G&G clone from this most recent batch that Midway has. But the pic shows a rebated cylinder (like a 44 Navy has) and the stepped frame. But some customer pics show a NON rebated cylinder and a level frame. Can anyone here maybe clear this up for me. Thanks in advance.

yeah that went absolutely nowhere. I was told, "All we have is a stock photo, we can't pull items and open to verify"

Good luck! Let us know. You'd think that if they won't check your product they should have a responsibility to ship what is pictured with provisions for a return if it does not match.

I got one last week, but it has been sitting in the safe and I really didn't look all that closely at it. Ill check when I get home.

I’m confused, I thought the Navy caliber was .36?

Navy was / is a .36 cal. But nowdays they make an 1851 Navy in .44 cal. They took the Navy cylinder and increased its size halfway of the cylinder and stepped the frame down for the cylinder to clear.

Ok, it is a Pietta fantasy gun being a 44cal 1851. I see that you jumped on that Midway sale. So did I, ordered a uberti 2nd model Dragoon. Good luck with your new shooting iron!

G&G had one piece wood grips these have 2 piece plastic grips that I really don’t like. I replaced mine with a one piece wood grip, looks and feels a lot better.

Some Pietta model G&G are 44 caliber brass frame and round barrel. Hopefully what you saw is not what your going to get. But since they are made, you might wind up with one.
I see them a lot on gunbroker.

Yeah, I have already ordered an unfinished grip to replace the plastic.

Midway's listing say's .36 cal. It will go straight back as soon as I open the box if it is indeed the .44

I looked at the site, they have both. One is 36 and the other 44
