So that did not work I’ll make two more breach plugs. However , meanwhile I experimented with a bit more milling and now a new drill tube and I think I have the geometry right Even at 81 it’s still a learning curve , I held the drill tube in place with bonding resign. Next some drillingDrilling the nipple holes 28bore barrels. I pondered at setting it up on the mill but then made a drill jig out of tubes and epoxy putty. . So it all lined up with hammers perfectly. Still waiting for epoxy putty to harden . I used hot glue to secure the tubes exactly to the hammer face , before adding epoxy putty Sunny day west London 12 am

Success. Rust was only skin deep. Stamping gone. Trying out homemade iron browning. seems to workStill filing on the .50 cabellas barrel....it's not filing out. the warning is out now and the 0 from the 50 is a half 0. everything elsr is gone. Played with my USA mountain rifle stock...again. Got out the CVA Kentucky and admired the lines...I like this gun...don't like the cracks in the stock.
Looks like beautiful wood!Got the breech bedded in the stock , slabbed off at bottom of the stock , slabbed off the lock plate side along the barrel , chiseled in the ramrod channel , drilled R.R. hole in forearm ....gettin there ...
We'll see ! In the finishing stageLooks like beautiful wood!

At last I got the geometry of the nipple hole right , but what a mess. The nipple hole is quite off set. The whole thing has been an utter pane Now I’ll start all over again now I know what I am doing. Back to big lathe
