Got this to hang on my wall. But after inspection I noticed the lock looked real. Well curiosity got me. Put a flint in it and it sparked good. So I added a little 2f to the pan and it went poof. I asked myself. Why would someone put a working lock on a prop gun?
Now the barrel had a plug about half way down.
Why not. Got a wooden dowel and a hammer. Tapped on it started moving. Few good strikes and it popped out.
All I have is a DeWalt hand drill. But what the heck. Did the drilling. First the barrel then the plug. Tapped in in (its tight) to where the holes matched. Put the barrel back on. Added about 10gr loose 2f and some in the frizzen. It went poof whoosh.
I disassembled the entire gun. The lock has Spain on it. Going to disassemble it and give it a good cleaning.
I do have a question. Should I buy a tap and die and thread it. Or find a welder to weld it for me. I probably won't be shooting any balls out of it. Probably just a noise maker or some bird shot.
