Pull the lock off, take some photos of the inner lock components and start a new post asking for help. I’m sure there’s people that can help troubleshoot the issue.Received today and the lock doesn't lock in the firing position I didn't know it was a non shooter I had bought. Won't even set off a cap . Disappointed

Why work on a defective item when it should be returned to the seller for a full refund including the shipping?!!
Did you miss the part where the seller has mysteriously disappeared?
Looks like this may have been intentional. In which case trying to troubleshoot and fix the problem seems like a great idea to me.

It appears to be a functional gun. The green cap is to protect the nipple. Markings including what appears to be a proof mark. All steel and not pot metal. If a wall hanger , a well made one.
Humidity sometimes causes problems , slowing the lock actions. Try loosening the lock bolt slightly or removing the lock to check function.
Cap to nipple fit isn’t always good due to manufacturing differences.

Same gun sold by Hawk54 on Jan 15 of this year through the forum. Be patient, it is a real gun just need to figure it out.
If you try to remove the drum for any reason be advised it may be left hand threads and there should be a very tiny little arrow indicating that on the barrel by it. I missed that on the exact model I was converting to flint and only after twisting it off did I notice the little arrow.

Wasn't expecting to buy some one else's problem but o well it happens
As mentioned loosen the lock and see if it holds at full & half cock positions..
If not remove the lock and look for areas that the metal is contacting the wood..
The trigger maybe inlet a little too deeply causing an issue as well..

On the nipple is half cock and the other is where full cock should be
Does the hammer have good spring tension when cocking?
If so, Try a shorter nipple and see if that helps..
It doesn’t appear the nipple is screwed completely in , in the pic without the green cap..

This is in the firing position not far enough back to set off a cap
