hope you stocked up on your jump through hoops pills to collect. I've had to make claims against all 3 shippers and none of them are easy to deal with. But I have had less claims to deal with when shipping with USPS priority (knock on wood ) I've never had a claim as long as I send it priority costs a little more but is worth the piece of mind.

Jack, that is looking so good!!! Keep it up!!

Life’s a struggle heavy rain London so my power to big workshop is out, But I got a small lathe in side shed. Put up 4 jaw chuck and started turning my 5th breach plug for my 28g barrels. The first two plugs the fire holes were the wrong angle and plug was too short, the next two plugs perfect till I broke a 5/16” tap, not feeling well that day, and yesterday made the 5th I call it progress learning to be a gunsmith . Threading a 11/16” breach thread with a new die, so converting 12 g barrels with a big thread tap might be a struggle but it can be done The new in the white , 28g barrels cost me £265 at holts auction so I got to get it right, Just luck it fitted my .36 double ml rifle. Now the challenge of getting the hook right so it holds barrels in place . Do have a go .

The last three days I spent at the Quad State blacksmith roundup in Troy Ohio. Tailgate sales netted me some fun stuff. Most of the blacksmith hammers and ball peens I paid $1 for I'm happy for the coil spring to make tools as I didn't have any in that size. The little lead pot will be handy when I get it cleaned up. The big stake anvil in the middle is awesome. It was a working anvil when George Washington was alive. I'm looking forward to getting it stump mounted and forge historical things on it as was done originally.

Shot my 40 cal. Mountain Rifle to check on the accuracy (or possible loss of) since I coned the barrel using one of Joe Woods tools. I used ladder loads starting at 30 grs. 3F and worked up. My old load was 35 grs. 3F behind a .390 ball and 018 patch lubed with my last bottle of Lehigh Valley lube. I had to increase the charge to 45 grs. to get the same accuracy, the POI has not changed and if possible, it might even be more accurate than before.
