Good morning all. I have been the owner operator of a small firearms restoration business in Tennessee for 30 years and have hit a very difficult road block for me. I received a stick of rust a few weeks back which turned out to be a very old 36 caliber rifle. It has a 44" barrel straight 7/8" octagon I am attaching a picture of the lock in hopes someone may be able to help. It will need a complete stock so I need a starting place. Thank you all in advance.

Once everyone waves their hellos, this thread will be vacated. You will get better information when you post your question in the firearms section.

Welcome from AZ!

Welcome from Maine. Before sink a lot of money into that project, drop a AAA battery down the bore and shine a flashlight on it. Go to the percussion rifle section.
