I noticed on some of the besses the locks or hammers were missing!

I wonder how many of those are loaded?
Since they are in Scotland, have they all had the vents welded closed, or the guns otherwise rendered inert?

The stair wall is the wall that faces the mid-landing of a stair that ascends to it from at least two sides, As you enter the hall, the stair-wall faces you, with a section of stair on each side of the hall leading up to it.
I was wondering that of the Bess at bottom center. Frizzen closed, at half cock. At the ready?I wonder how many of those are loaded?
