Will the trigger separate with the heat involved in fire bluing or will the weld hold? It would look fine if I left it in the white of course.
Can I fire blue the trigger on a kibler Fowler?

A weld will hold but solder will not, isn’t that trigger one piece? If so it will be fine to do whatever you want.
Their single trigger is one piece. Fire away!
Awesome, I don’t have the part in hand but thought it might be welded or soldered together.

I kinda like the fire blued look myself. I make them rainbow.
I fire blue a lot of screws to match antique furniture screws. Though they aren’t as refined. It’s pretty easy.

I fire blue all screws and triggers, even did a trigger guard, which came out looking color case.
thing i don't like is it isn't very deep and will mar easily. but i do love the look.

BobeLee is right, polish, polish and then polish again. The fire blue will come up a rich dark with the surface smooth and shiny. Like Grandpa’s Sunday shoes.

Yeah, when I do screws for antique furniture, I’m shooting for that black look, I think people refer to it as stove pipe. It’s funny because I looks almost like flat black paint but I can polish the same screw and give it the same heat and it will turn out what we think of as fire blued! I like the fact it wears easily , I think it adds to the Charm one you’ve used it a fair amount.

The color is not really turquoise.. These pictures were taken outside and the super bright blue is actually a reflection of the sky above. The mirror polish really helps to reveal the colors as your heating the metal.
Zoomed in you can actually see my reflection and those of the clouds and trees on the bolt heads.

A couple fire blued screws and trigger….
I quench in oil, it makes the blue a little darker I believe.
