Now we know your secret to shooting in the bitter cold!Darn thing is super warm too, even at the arctic temps we're having right now.
We like pictures .Made thimbles, underlugs, and lock bolt escutcheons, in addition to ordering a barrel, lock, and other assorted accessories, in preparation for building an iron mounted SW VA style rifle. I am hoping to get the trigger guard and buttplate forged later this week. Still need to make the trigger, trigger plate, and sights. Maybe tomorrow?

I find a few sheds laying about while I’m bird hunting in the forest floor. Or at least my gun dog does. Not every year, but every couple, I find a couple that the foxes haven’t chewed up too bad. I’ve even found a few that were big enough to make pistol grips. Ive also had to leave a few that broke my heart as they were too far from camp.Got moose about?
Yes we do but very rarely do you find a shed antler laying on the ground .Got moose about?

Usually, here in Southcentral Alaska, they start dropping them about Christmas time through January. Big racks shed first, and lil rag bulls can hang onto them into March.I and a few others look every year and have only found ONE side of a shed ,boreal forest hear my friend very thick and lots of under brush.
