    t/c service shines

Hi! all I don't post much, but I read alot. Sunday I read a post speaking highly of t/c service. This caused me to remenber taht I needed to order a new hammer for my .54 Renagde. Well yesterday about 10:00am et I called and talked to a nice lady called Gail and ordered my part $15.95 +...

    TC Hawken

I did like Brett Sr. and installed the gm .40 andvery happy I did. I started with a misused t/c kit gun and ended up with a fine rifle for about $210.00. I still used the JB bore paste on my barrel as sharp edges were cutting tight patches. Good luck with your rifle!

    long range muzzle loader

 Two good points there. Thanks I will try to varify the nipple location. And since my right sholder is getting more touchy about recoil, maybe I could cut a hook and add a thin pad.

    long range muzzle loader

I enjoy shooting. My 40 cal. rb rifle gets used every week all year long. This is for me a pass time and hobby. Also my club has a 200 yard back stop that I needs to be used. And its just one of thoes things I need to do. After all it is a muzzle loader! no differnt then my round ball gun. It...

    long range muzzle loader

I have wanted to make a long range muzzle loader out of my .54 renagade, for the last 3 years. Well I have a birethday coming up and this seems to be the time. My thoughts right now call for a 34" Green Mountain .45 1 : 18 twist barrel and a TOTW breach plug. Also I found on the TOTW site...

    Red or Blue ticking

I have both red & blue, washed & air dried. The blue mic's .014 / .016 while the red checked in @ .016 / .018. My .40 cal likes the blue and a .395 ball.

Whats so great about real black powder?

 Simply put, with a real round ball barrel & patched round ball you can't beat real black powder. I have tried them all and I am still shooting Goex 3f. However: of all I tried Triple 7 was the best. 25 gr. of that stuff will do 1" @ 25 yards and in my book that is good enough for Mr...

    Oh so many choises

 I have not shot anything yet with a 54, but judging from what it does to steel plates @ 100 yards I would feel safe any where.

    new IBS 40 cal

 Well lets mix this up a bit! This afternoon the weather cleared up and I tried my new Hornady .395's with .015 lubed patch. I started @ 50 gr. of Goex 3f. I shot 3 plinking shots to establish a normal state of fouling, semi cleaning between shots as is my normal routine. FPS don't know or...

    Its working!

1:48 like java man said. I still think I would use a larger cal. for deer and the like. 50 & up we owe it to them. I tried the postal shoot last night. Shoot the X from sticks @ 100 yards. All I can say is I will try again tomorrow. I don't think a 4 inch group will cut it. I hope the rest of...

    new IBS 40 cal

Thanks Kenny Cooper! I called the # in my GMinstruction booklet and asked what max load was for the 40 and a nice lady replied 120 max. You know I think that 120 would fill half my barrel. Your load sounds sweet and I will try it tonight!

    new IBS 40 cal

Well I got a good one. I will not bore you with stories till I have photos. You will have to trust me when I say this is a whole new level of black powder shooting. Goex 3f burns much cleaner in the 40 then it ever did in my 50 or 54 cals. I started with 40 gr. of Goex 3f, .389 ball & .015...

    new IBS 40 cal

 My new Green Mountain IBS 40 Cal. arrived today from TOW. What a beauty it is. I think this well work better then my Renagade 54, which by the way is at the gun shop fore sale. I ordered .389 balls and .01 patches but after measuring the bore & grooves I wished I had .395's. Anyhow I...
