    Going in a black powder cartridge shoot tomorrow, except I’ll be the only guy with a long rifle. I didn’t want to run black powder through my unmentionables so they said compete anyway with my Frontier. I’m camping there this weekend so I said ok.

    Probably cleaned as needed or when thought of. Those guys didn’t plan to “go shooting” like we do so likely didn’t have a cleaning routine like we do. Unless military, those guys probably cleaned often. Just guessing.

    Shot my Frontier .50 cal flintlock. Had a great outing, mostly 50 yd work today. Rang the 50 yd gongs many times, and even put 2 shots on my coffee cup lid at 50 yds off hand. Best of all, zero misfires, pan flashes, hangfires, and same flint the whole session. Might be finally getting some...
