Would it be safe to use .451 ball in 45 cal (.440) Kentucky pistol?

Depending how you support the stock of the pistol while you drive the ball home, you stand a good chance of cracking the stock while doing so. Have at it.

    Bad CCI caps

Do I need a filler for a 20 grain charge in a .44 cal. Cylinder?

If you ask most line shooters, they are all shooting low powder charges, that is where accuracy is. Most have never been attacked by an irate paper target.

    Another Uberti or Pietta thread

Absolutely the best advice you are going to receive. If you cannot do that, call Taylor's and ask for the Gunsmith. Ask which is the better pistol and get an honest answer, they sell both brands.

Do I need a filler for a 20 grain charge in a .44 cal. Cylinder?

Do I need a filler for a 20 grain charge in a .44 cal. Cylinder?

Nope. Why waste powder? Never knew a person who entered a match competition with the intent of losing, but then again there might be someone who wants to lose.

Do I need a filler for a 20 grain charge in a .44 cal. Cylinder?

Nothing like reading the instructions from the manufacturer.

Breech Plug Pull + Reinstallation Services?

Okay to answer your request since no one else will, call: "The Log Cabin Shop" in Lodi, OH, they can take of you. They have three gunsmiths on staff. I have used them to fix the lock on a cranky flint lock pistol.

Got my tools, ready to disassemble, any words of warning?

    Pedersoli Tryon 50 cal

I would clean and clean until I was 100% certain I could not get it any cleaner before I poured powder down it and attempted to put a ball down. Don't want to get a ball half way down it and have it stuck. They you will be asking, "how do Ii get the ball out". I would follow Notch Bob and not...
