    New Englander Barrel

Red-Wing, do you know anyone in Ohio that will sleeve a New Englander or Renegade? Mine are LH and small caliber barrels are just not out there. I would be interested in a .36 or .40, but have no info on how a sleeved barrel would work. Any info you have would be helpful. thanks

    Thompson Center Hawken .40cal.

Curious, where in KY was it for sale and do you remember the price? Thanks

    Renegade value.

I own a .54 Renegade in LH and like it very much. T/C also made a .56 smoothbore for the Renegade. The New Englander in LH could be had in .12ga shotgun barrel; .50 & .54 cal. I found the LH SB, and the .54 NE from a person on Graybeard and the .12ga NE from T/C. T/C is no longer making any...

Replaced stock on my Turkey gun

Man! Does that ever look nice, Roundball. I would be afraid of putting a scratch in it and would most likely use it for display.

Thanks Roundball, I will keep the jug choke in mind for later.

    T/c .56SB Loads?

Roundball, The reason I bought the 56SB was for using it as a shotgun first and foremost. I have the .54 Renegade barrel, plus the New Englander with .50, 12ga and on the way a .54. Don't know if I mentioned it but these are left-handed T/C's. My only caplock rifles and I wanted to obtain as...

    T/c .56SB Loads?

T/C says to use a .550 round ball, but I agree that a .535 with maybe an 020 patch might work well. The .535RB is easier to find than the .550RB. The Log Cabin and the Possibles Shop does carry the .550. Again, T/C shows 80-100grs of FFG for the 265 gr. RB(.550); should those loads be okay for...

    T/c .56SB Loads?

Hello, everyone. I read here alot but post very seldom. A world of info here and I thank each and all for your knowledge. I have a .56SB barrel on the way for my .54 Renegade and after looking at T/C manual I am curious about shot loads. the manual only lists one load called a bird shot load...

    .54 renadage

Stoy, My T/C manual lists 90 grains of FFG up to 120 grains which is the max (that is for a 430-435gr Maxi-Ball & Maxi-Hunter loads. You can call T/C and they will send you a manual at no charge. Good luck with your Renagade!

Traditonal Muzzleloaders In Regular Gun Season ??

WV SCROUNGER, Correct me if I am wrong (and save me money this year also), I hunt WV and the last few years, I have had to (at least thought I did) buy a ML permit for an extra five or ten dollars (forget which as I haven't ordered my out of state so far this year). I am thinking that it is the...

    remington gold RBs'

He-Bear, I live just down the ole RT23 from Columbus and would like to know where you found those, if you don't mind? I have a card of twenty that I found last year and thought they seemed like they would be okay. At that price I would like to buy enough to see if I liked them. Thanks,

    .32cal Buffalo Ballet's?

Regulis7, Will send a PM when I get the chance to shoot it, hopefully before the week is out.

    .32cal Buffalo Ballet's?

Regulis7, I bought a box of them to try in my Inline T/C System 1. It uses a little more powder than the percussions do. T/C says 30-50 grains, I tried a 30 grain load and had good accuracy at about 30yds. Haven't had a chance for hunting with it. My traditions Deerhunter .32 percussion hasn't...

Green Mountain drop in Barrels for T/C

roundball, I did call them last fall and was told they did not make an IBS LH. Maybe I should have asked what they would charge just to make .54 LH for my New Englandner. I am greedy, have a LH .54 Renegade, just also want one for the New Englandner to go with the .50 and the 12ga., then maybe a...

Green Mountain drop in Barrels for T/C

Now if they would also make them for the LH Renegade or New Englander I would be happy.

The "extinction" of inexpensive sidehammer guns.

KanawhaRanger, It has been many years (1968) since I had to leave WV because of work. Am, and forever will be, proud of being born and raised in West Virginia. Here in central Ohio I have found a couple of decent buys at pawn shops, one was a Traditions Deerhunter in .50 cal. (1 in 48) price...

The "extinction" of inexpensive sidehammer guns.

Thanks for the info WV_Hillbilly. I just picked up another Traditions sidelock at a pawn shop. The Hawkin Woodsman in .50 with a 1 in 66 barrel. After some scrubbing the bore looks great and the set trigger is working very well. Some discoloration on the brass parts but the wood is in terrific...
