    Just finished a new horn. The stain is a mix of apple cider vinegar with steel wool allowed to sit for a month then mixed with some potassium permanganate. About 6 coats then the whole horn got a coat of Tru oil. The scrim is filled with sepia toned India ink. Stopper and plug are from scrap...

    I just have a hard time trimming my fur! :grin: I 'd say my gut needs to be a bit smaller too! Sooner or later I want to replace the hat with a proper one.

    I'm making a uniform for the Virginia Regiment from around 1757 - 1762. I am a descendant of a person that served in the Regiment during its entire service in the F&I War. I haven't invested in shoes yet so P.F. Flyers will due for now. Everything is hand sewn. Thanks for looking, Sean.
