    Stuck ball -=- need help

    i did the same exact some thing :redface: i just used a ball puller had to work at it about 10 minsi was using thin patchs .010that probly helped a little.

    really really stuck ramrod

    i had that problem before i sprayed rem oil down the bore and heated up the barrel thinking the heat would expand the metal abit it worked. :)

    Surely miss the squirrel hunting days.

    i use 25 grains in my 50cal shoots real good up to 30 yards on paper but have not tried it on squirrles yet :redface: working on it since deer season ended din'thave to play with the sights much :shocked2:

    caps stuck in hammer

    i got a t/c hawken i noticed when i shoot a reduced load 35 grains[plinking load] the cap sticks [not bad ] on the nipple or just falls out of the hammer when cocking for the next shot. but when i use my huntig load 75 graines it 50/50 falls out of hammer or stuck .just show the back pressure...

    is it ok to shoot 'shot' from .50 gpr?

    i shot the birdshot shells thru a hand gun at 15 feet the pattern was roughly 5 foot ring hardly no pellets at the aim point :redface:

    can some one tell the rifle twist rate of this gun . i know its designed to shoot minni-balls .but yesterday i was shootig patch and ball with 60 grains and had farly good groups considering this the first time a i realy shot it a lot about 40 rounds plus i figuered its a lot cheaper to shoot...

    54 Renegade Flintlock

    i bought one off my budddy a few years back for a 100 bucks he got it used about 10 years before used i figure its old the serial number starts with 15 . dose t/c still make parts :confused: thinking about getting a new flash hole and frizzen or is there some place else i can look.

    Brass on a Hawen rifle

    i polish my brass a couple times a year the last time i do do a about 3 months before deer season i let it tarnish naturly by doing nothing to it. has a nice dull gold color to it.

    pirodex or other pellets in a sidelock?

    i tried them once in my t/c hawken like i said once it took 3 caps to fire and when it did go i had a hang fire. :redface: i would stick to lose powder.

    Who hunts public land

    i hunt mostly on state land this past deer season i could count the number of hunters on one hand and have acouple fingers left over . more appt to see a hiker or if there is snow a cross country skier.its nice to see people use the woods other than hunting . :v

    cva hawken pistol

    i got one last year and shoot it a lot .the only problem i have it is when i pull the ram rod out to load it the wedge pin falls out .doe,s anyone own one and has the same problem :confused:

    What Was Your First Flintlock

    my first flint is a 54 cal t/c renegade .i got it used and in fair shape . considing i'am the 6th owner . the gun was one the very first ones t/c made . i believe 1974. :)
