This one, it was also the first flinter I built up back in 73. .45 Douglas barrel with a CVA lock, both gun and lock are still going strong, taken many a muley and goat. (antelope to pilgrims)

My wife gave me my first one as a Christmas present. It was a TC Pa Hunter, the first year they were made.

My first flint? Original about .60 cal dellinger never shot that one. So first is a Marshall Hooker with Russ Hamm lock and a Paris barrel in .45 very accurate gun. Now 20+ years later a TVM .40 also a tack driver. Next maybe a .58.
Fox

A Dixie Tennessee in .32 that I was dumb enough to sell. Purchased sometime around 1980 and held until 1984 +/-. That was before I knew L&R made a replacement lock, which might have helped things considerably.

Mine was a 40 cal custom Lancaster. I got a case of the stupids and sold it. sure wish I still had it. cut finger

Is this Hooker rifle one of his copies of his "Boone rifle"? I have long liked that particular rifle....

My first and only flintlock shooter was a military jaeger rifle made in Hembrug (Netherlands) and brought to the colonies by a mercenary. Was about .75 cal with polygroove rifling; I got it in trade with Bob Abels for a hex bore Whitworth sporting rifle. (I got the Whitworth in Australia in trade for a Smith & Wesson K-22 target revolver--good trade, huh?)

Then I got an ugly case of trading fever and swapped it off for a piece of junk made up of an original Remington barrel and nondescript lock. Bad trade, huh? Dumb, dumb, dumb....

my first flint is a 54 cal t/c renegade .i got it used and in fair shape . considing i'am the 6th owner . the gun was one the very first ones t/c made . i believe 1974. :)

I built my first from Pecatonica component set...62cal. Virginia Style smooth rifle for spring gobblers. Never even shot a flintlock till I got it built..didn't even know how to work the frizzen..load it or nothing about flintlocks. Glad I liked it.

A .50 Tennessee Longrifle from made by Jack Garner (I assume). My dad bought it used, and gave it to me for Christmas a few years ago.
