    the gpr i just bought has that warning on the barrel, but a replacement barrel i bought from a fellow on the forum doesn't have the warning. i'm planning on filing the warning off with i refinish the old barrel.

    just bought a gpr from my uncle ($60) but the barrel is pitted pretty bad. only able to hold a 10" group at 50 yards using .490rb and .010 and .015 patches. any thoughts from the knowledgable? i'm thinking of buying a .54 cal barrel as i've read these make a better balanced rifle. thanks

    Double rifles?

    because my right barrel is hitting about 5" lower than my left barrel, paulvallandigham suggested that i file the lower part of the muzzle to bring the poa closer to the left barrel. i'm planning on giving this a try in a week or two when i have a day to sit down with the rifle and work with it.

    12ga. Roundball?

    i forgot to add that i used a piece of sweat shirt for a thick patch. picked this up with some earlier tips. i do need to shoot a few more times to be sure of how it shoots, but i feel confident that it hits low. i'll play with the load a little the next time i shoot it.

    shot my 12ga. cva yesterday with .69 roundballs yesterday. at 35 yards, one hit exactly 6" low from where i aimed the tip of the bead and the other hit 3" left and 3" low. i used 80gr. with a 1/4" wad over powder and over the ball. any thoughts what load will bring the ball up to where i aim?

    File Knife

    thanks guys! a cross-draw is all i wear any more. to me, they are more comfortable and easier to draw than with a hip sheath. this is about as good as my tooling gets. not near as good as some i've seen, but i'm happy with it.
