What game do you hunt? Especially for members in other nations.

Hello from Germany! As Baikal mentioned the german hunting law doesn't forbid the use of ML at all, so less restrictions as for cartridge guns. That is fine! For my part I got several roedeer, redfox and some birds. I agree with others that in our dense populated country the use of a ML...

    The end of black powder?

Here in Germany bp can be bought all over the country. Nearly any gunshop is able to get and sell it to the customers. In my area of southern bavaria I have 2 dealers within 30km, and 2 mor within 60 km. There I can get all kinds of bp, subs and pellets. In Germany you need a licence for bp...

Can anyone confirm this of Lyman

So you guys over there and down in SA are very lucky. Meanwhile I have heard that german traders have to order a min. number...

    Invest Arms .45 Hawken

Congrats to that nice combo of front stuffers! The .45 Investarm is a real nice rifle and most used here over the pond in Germany. Because of its universal twist of 1 in 48" it shoots well both with PRB and conicals. We use the .45 for roedeerhunting and target practice. Have fun! Regards...

    .45 or .58

I would go for the .45! If it has a moderate ROT of 1 in 48", even 1 in 66" you can shoot both PRB and maxis with good accuracy up to 80 yds and more. For hunting the .45 maxi is also a good choice and not to expensive. Meanwhile I have 2 .45 (Deerhunter and Hawken Woodsman) and I like both...

Is traditional ML on the upswing?

Sir, with all respect, your postings are not fitting very well here in this thread. Seems to me as if you are on the warpath against all friends and supporters of traditional ML. If you have no interest to help the case then please stay calm. :shake: Back to the topic. Here in southern...

How many loads do you take into the woods

I have a ballboard which can carry 5 PRB and I use these possibility. My powder is stored in papercartridges. I normally need only one charge and ball, but when hunting roedder there is a good chance for getting more than one from the same stand. Regards Kirrmeister
