Friends, our 2nd Amendment rights are always under attack and the NRA has been a constant for decades in helping fight that fight.
We have partnered with the NRA to offer you a discount on membership and Muzzleloading Forum gets a small percentage too of each membership, so you are supporting both the NRA and us.
I highly suggest you to lube your mold like the guy on Youtube "Elvis" suggest to. I follow his instructions to a T and have zero issues because he is the Man!
I found a nice #3 buckshot load for both barrels of mine. 90 gns 2f Goex, osc, one half of a olive oil soaked fiber wad, osc, thirty .250 (#3 buck), osc. I killed a decent doe at 50 paces, with it in December, and the improved cylinder barrel.
Maybe a large fishing sinker hanging from a short string? I've been thinking about this. large sky scrappers have large weights at the top to counter the building's movements from the high winds.
I bought a set of Lyman hunting sights a little less than a year ago. I really love these sights because the front bead sight completely fills the rear sights circler notch. I shot very well with it until I noticed they kept moving. I tried all of the suggestions from you fellows on this forum...
What does the rifle like to shoot? What is the zero range? And how much does it drop at 100 yards? I'm wanting to get a new Pedersoli 36 or 32 Pennsylvania, but maybe considering this one.
90 grains 3f, 1 over shot card, 1/2 of a 1/2 inch lubed fiber wad, 1 over shot card, 30- #3 buck (.25 caliber), and 1 more over shot card.
Shot her running at 50 paces, around 40 yards, in front our beagle hounds.
It was an awesome chase!
I am considering purchasing a .45 cal mold (already got a .50) LEE REAL for my T/C Hawken. I only need a 100 to 125 yard deer gun. And I will hire someone to tap it for a scope. It's a 1:48 twist. "Or" I am considering purchasing another production gun if you guys think a !:32 or a !:24 twist...
