    Determining Flint Size?

    If you have a Late Ketland lock the flint will be about a 1/4" from the frizzen at half ****. Most others I have seen are 1/16 or so.

    I aggree. I find the flintlock is easy to use and I have less missfires if I do my part. I guess its all in what you are use to. The flintlock is more fun to shoot in my opinion but others may differ with that.

    Almost Squirell Time

    Yep, the season is may 1st till 31st in east Texas. May have to give them a try this year. I have a 36 caliber Tenn. rifle coming from TVM, sure ready to try it out on some limb bacon.
