    Grizz with a 50 RB

Elephants have been killed with wood arrows and broadheads.....doesn't mean its not a risky endeavour and you'd never actually stop one from killing you if it was attacking with one....

What do you think of these patterns?

Looks pretty good. Obviously playing with the load will help improve it. I'd be happy with it though

    Flintlock vs Percussion Cap

I've heard every tip and trick for the last 6 years, and the simple fact is I can't get used to it,and it stuffs me for all my other guns. Plain and simple.

    Flintlock vs Percussion Cap

I much prefer a caplock. I like flintlocks because they ARE very cool and as close to being a " self sufficient " firearm as I can get,but I can't shoot them worth ****,and I've found mine far less reliable than my caplocks. I've also found that shooting my flintlock gives me a flinch that...

    .50 PRB on turkey?

Depends what your rifle likes i guess. My Seneca will not shoot with less than 60gn of 2f,which granted is a big load in a 36 and not really what I wanted to use. But anything less results in terrible groups so its what I'm forced to use.

    Another Smoothbore Question

I don't know about that entirely. I'm on a fb group called Buck and Slug Reloaders, and there are guys there who achieve the seemingly impossible. But it takes LOTS of mucking around, both with the loads and with the firearms themselves. Definitely not something you'd achieve by just grabbing a...

58 cal Hawkens roundball load ?

Aint that the truth. No one seems to know how to work up a load, even in metallic cartridge reloading everyone tries to find a mythical magic load that will work in every x gun firing x projectile with x powder in x chambering.

    Another Smoothbore Question

Agreed on the buck and ball loads, they seem pretty useless for anything these days
