Start out at 25 or 50 yards. Figure the load you want to shoot. Shoot from a bagged rest at least three rounds holding the same point of aim. After that add or decrease your load 5 grains and repeat. That should give you a good base line to start from. :thumb: After a couple grouping...

I have a couple TC Patriots. For thirty plus years of shooting those pistols, I have never had an issue with cracked stocks, or anything else for that matter. I don’t abuse them. I have absolutely no complaints or concerns about those pistols. :thumb: :cool: I do not use a loading stand...

The 1862 Pocket Police and Pocket Navy are both fun plinkers. They are just on the tiny side when it comes to loading. That being said, I have four-ish Pocket Police, two are Colt, two are Uberti. One Colt Pocket Navy :cool: :thumb:

The barrel markings for the Patriot pistol are very different from the photos shown for the Spanish one.

I agree. The photos of the ‘Spanish Patriot’ are the CVA/ Traditions Trapper pistol. Those are the knock-offs of the Patriot. I have seen several Patriots in .36 cal. A few of them were the early production versions without nose caps. I have not seen any .45 cal Patriots without nose caps...

The trigger looks to be hanging outside of the trigger guard.

For my TC barrels, after scrubbing with hot water and soap, I run a couple of patches down the bore to dry it out. Then I squirt a bit of WD-40 in the bore and on a patch. Swab out the bore again. You can see the excess lube spraying out of the nipple. Dry patch and finally a light coating...

Could you clamp or screw it down, taking the bend out, and heating it ? Not ever having done that, but I would give it a try. I might set my garage on fire, but I’d learn something… :dunno::cool:

The long mast/ barrel looks like it might be for a punt gun boat or market hunter’s gun.
