I've done it but don't remember measuring. Use pam or some kind of lube to keep from sticking. You can put it in the freezer to cool quicker. Did it for center fire pistol. No powder just a primer and has more power than you think it would.
Personally I don't like neck shots. I've Not knocking anyone that do it personally but I've known too many people that never recovered their animal. It's a smaller zone hitting the throat than the heart/lung area and there is allot of good meat there that can get waisted. I shot my first deer...
You can't Mail BP even with a HazMat fee. UPS is out also because they ship by air to AK. It has to be shipped ground, hence the problem getting BP shipped to AK.
This was discussed on another board, both age hardening and spring back. If I remember right, after one week, it is pretty much done hardening and spring back, or at least for the most part.
Same for me. I have also used rimmed brass that I ground the rim off. I also have a round ball shaped like a file ro concave the center as to not distort the ball so much.
Lee works well for me. It's easier to use than some because of the integral pin. Like mentioned though, you need the minie that fits your bore or it will be of little use.
I have some LSA. The bottle I had dried up some. Not completely but got real thick form a hot garage. I diluted it some so I could still use it but luckily found some last year at a gunshow. I don't use it on the M/L though. I switched to Barricade recently because of issues. WD40 worked fine...
I'd go with a really tight conical. If you go too big like 54 in a 50 you may not get it down all the way but a half way in stuck ball or bullet seems to be worse.
