Great locks. Using mine now for 35 years. The frizzen spring broke so I had to had another one made. You will gain nothing by swapping out the lock.

It's inherent in the design and the main reason you will almost never see them in MLAIC matches.

I used to live there. Many indoor ranges but few outdoors where black powder could be used. Markham Park in Sunrise was good but you will wait a long time to use the range. Also a public range in Sebastian but that is a bit of a drive.

Very nice rifle, and in better shape than you think. Could use some attention to be sure but any efforts would be worth it.

I use a .32 caliber jag and cut the patch a little larger: works well.

A gun of that quality had a forged hammer. Many made in the US had them as well.

In my opinion the Kuchenreuter shops built the finest target pistols of their time. I have enjoyed mine for 30 years and it remains my favorite.
