I’ve used a climber for going on 30 years. Now that the grandson has started hunting I put up a 2 man ladder stand, that was an absolute killer to get back into the woods and up. It’s staying put until the grandson is old and strong enough to help me move it.

I take photos of all the animals I kill. I put them in an album along with a short synopsis of where, when and how I killed them. A lot of guys have a tendency to turn those 50 yards shots into 75, 100 150 yards as time goes by. Doing this keeps me honest with myself.

That stock is gorgeous, I agree with you on not trying any intricate carving, it would be a real shame to mess that stock up.

I’m going to look at one of these at tractor supply. It’s .350 diameter so a little sanding and pinning a tip to it might do the trick.
