WANTED Miroku Model 1861 Springfield Musket

Why specifically a Miroku made 1861? The Pedersoli version seems pretty good to me, plus Pedersoli's stocks are made of walnut, most of Miroku's were birch.

    Eli Whitney Musket model1812 ?

Yes, that's the sight on the front barrel band, there is no rear sight. At this point in American History, weapons weren't made of fully interchangeable parts, meaning a replacement front barrel band may not just drop right in. There is an 1816 musket for sale here on the forum still in it's...

    Eli Whitney Musket model1812 ?

That's the 3rd barrel band, it's in the correct place. If there really was only 2 on that musket it's missing one, there is supposed to be 3.

WANTED Miroku Model 1861 Springfield Musket

If it was defarbed there wouldn't be the Dixie Gunworks markings.

WANTED Miroku Model 1861 Springfield Musket

I know you asked for a 1861, but there is a Miroku 1863 Springfield for sale on Guns International right now for $1250. There is also an Armi Sport 1861 Springfield up for auction on Gun Broker.

    Eli Whitney Musket model1812 ?

The front barrel band is missing, the middle barrel band is being used as a front barrel band. The 2nd picture shows what the front barrel band should look like.

Where should I Get My Miroku Charleville Defarbed?

Yes, but the lock needs fixed, one of the wooden rods connecting the 2 piece stock together is broken, the stock and fore stock are different colors, and I'd like it even more historically accurate.
