Curved buttstock placement on the arm/shoulder..........

That's just it. With that Cresent plate on the bench it felt awful.

    Mixing lead alloy with pure?

Lead shot IS an alloy. It varies in degrees of hardness. The very softest is dang hard. Most is over 12 BHN. Mixing these two types of lead will not achieve anything that is repeatable. I'm with the others. Try to trade the lead shot it is valuable. The other alloy you have. You say you...

    Mixing lead alloy with pure?

This is mine. It's a cabine tree tester. People talk about pure lead being 5 bhn. With my tester I can differentiate between a hard 5 and a soft 5. It is very easy to use and I can test big chunks and blocks down to bullets.

Ever shoot a stuck ball...what happened?

The absolute safest way to remove a stuck object in a barrel is to not shoot it out, but use grease.

You would be surprised how good a half wiener dog and half Chihuahua pound dog can hunt.

    Now this tops the cake...........

I would like to think we are.been together for 40 years. I've helped her train for 24 marathons, including 5 Boston marathons. She has helped me with my endeavors. We are best friends and enjoy each other. She is trying to talk me into shooting the Quigley with my muzzleloader.

    Lee REAL bullets

I would drop ingots onto concrete and listed for a thud. If it rings its not soft lead.

    Blowing down the barrel

Have you ever known anyone to shoot the Quigley or the mini Quigley with a muzzleloader?

What "fun" targets are your fav's

I have several steel targets. This one is my favorite because of the different tone of the ring. I have a very thick one that more or less clunks. A sliver of a pipe that rings but doesn't have the elongated ring on the disc.

How Far Can You Make Successful Kill Shots ?.

👌👌 I don't focus on the front sight. I look at it, to make sure my level is where it should be as I am acquiring the sight picture. Once I'm on, I intensely focus on the spot I want to hit. A 1" orange dot in a target or a tuff of hair on an animal. If I'm shooting a steel gong at 500 yards...

How Far Can You Make Successful Kill Shots ?.

I don't know why guys are worried about estimating yardage. I never take a shot unless I know what the yardage is. It takes 5 to 30 years to draw some of our western hunts. Guessing on a shot is not an option.

    Miroku Hawken 50 value?

I have a Browning BSS 20 ga that was made by Miroku. It is a very nice gun. I have seen others that were also very nice. The winchester rifles made by them were also very nicely made guns. I would expect no less of a muzzleloader made by them.

I'm not sure what the guy hit her with but I bet he said I hit her in the boiler room.

How Far Can You Make Successful Kill Shots ?.

I have killed 23 head of elk. I have seen others take probably twice that many. People fall apart in front of big game. I have seen guys that are proficient shooters that can't shoot an elk at 50 yards. When I'm calling an elk in 1/2 the battle is keeping the shooter from falling apart. The...
