    Best Friends

I don't know if birds can love, but I do know that some do reciprocate a kindness. Of all the creatures that visit my compost pile to partake of the latest deposited delectables only the crows leave payment for their meals. They do so in the form of trinkets. The faux mother-of-pearl on the...

    Best Friends

Meet Delle, if not friends then surely we are friendly acquaintances. She was a member of a feral litter who's mother raised her under my cabin 4 years ago. Since then her mother and siblings have moved on but Delle stayed on as a petit and industrious little mouser. She won't permit contact or...

    Trekking with my Kibler!

Beautiful rig. I like everything about it.

What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

Tradbow, you are correct, the base also needs to be painted. As I was falling asleep last night my subconscious notified me that I had failed to paint the bottom. So it will get painted today. Thank you for the reminder.

What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

Been wanting a solid and stable shooting bench, and also wanted it to be primitive in keeping with the spirit of our hobby. While processing firewood this thought came to me. It was a breeze to make. 470 pounds of Tamarac. Rock solid and perfectly stable. I think it would not look out of place...

    Gun/knife/hawk belt

Nice, a wider belt made of a heaver weight leather would do wonders to increase comfort and reduce the felt weight of that rig.

    My Kibler SMR Build Log

I for one am going to miss the daily progression of this thread. It has been immensely entertaining. Like an old-time movie serial in which I am left in suspense as to what new perils await our intrepid hero in the next episode.

    Kibler vs. TVM.

Mr. Kibler fully backs his products, TVM does not. That fact alone is reason enough to choose Kibler.

    Unboxing disappointment

.....Pedersoli ramrods are purely junk. Get some straight grained hickory and make a proper ramrod.

    Unboxing disappointment

I have some doubt that Pedersoli is to blame. It is likely that you have a previous return from someone who buggered up the pinholes. Anyway, it is unacceptable unless the seller will offer an appropriate discount.

I also chose the .45 in walnut and am very pleased with my Kibler SMR. I'm looking forward to following your build log. I'm curious to see how yours turns out.

It happened again today at the public range...........

If it is a remake, then Good Lord! I hope not. 😟

It would actually compliment nicely a few of the ample shooting bags I have seen some using. 😁

    New shooting bag

I like the clean and simple look of it. Nicely done.

    WANTED Bear claws

Now you have a perfectly good excuse for an Alaska grizzly bear hunt.
