    Which Ga Kibler Fowler?

If your small game shooting with shot is just "pot" shots at still game i would go with the 20. If you want to shoot moving targets with shot I would definitely use the 16.

    Kibler Fowler vs Trade Gun

Its a CYA. I wouldn't hesitate to shoot ball out of his.16 ga guns. The difference is I don't pretend they are a rifle and load it with a tight patch and ball. Historically the patched ball was to impart spin on a rifled bore.

    Kibler Fowler vs Trade Gun

In modern terms I compare a dirt cheap bottom of the barrel single shot break action shotgun to say a Remington 870. Neither are high end guns but both will shoot shot or a slug and in my day they were both readily available. The 870 is more refined than the topper in looks and use as is the...

    Woodsrunner Question?

Modern think and speculation aside If, If you are desirous of representing what was commonly done on a rifle of that period, it would call for a bit of carving. Look at original work of the period of interest. The rifle that kit is based on has carving. Smokey, congratulations on that new...

Second attempt at a Lyman pouch

Repetition is the key. Awl at same angle to the work, same needle in same location and order of the awl pierce every time, even the elbow needs to be at the same height and angle every time. Takes a lot of repetition to get that type of repetition : ) Nice job on the bag!

    Germanic Heraldic Bag

It's an old technique of working the leather from the back by hand, using small tools. No mold used. The raised figures are then filled with hide glue and leather shavings. Its called embossing.
