    Southern pistols

Yes, people's mention of a Kibler Pistol has been on here before, by myself included! I'd jump at chance to get a relatively simple pistol kit that didn't require a lot of wood-working.

Very "H&A" appearance! Would be simple for Pedersoli to make!;)

Lots of knowledge on this site about even rare "niche" types of guns; a real scholarly resource! :)

need help with 58 minie bullet mold

A pal just won an older Zoli at raffle. Guys on local black powder range are coaching her on it; a woman with a Zouave! Does that make her a vivandierre? :)

    Still reading print media?

I like Muzzleloader and also get Muzzle Blasts, along with all the usual modern gun magazines. I don't hunt nor fish, so never was too interested in F&S or Outdoor Life. Also, Gun Tests, which takes no advertising so calls a lemon a lemon!

Interesting! Tha's probably in Woodfill's book, but I don't read every detail in every book! Thanks for the observation!

M1776 British Rifled "Bess" Ordnance piece.

I don't have a camera for that, would need to take a "senior's class" to learn; also I use public library computer and have no idea how to post. I use the everyday Fuji film cameras you send away to develop at CVS!:rolleyes:I'm pretty clueless but enjoy the great photos I see posted here!

Pedersoli announce a .54cal 'Hawken target rifle...

The interesting Lorenz was offered way too late; many Civil War enactor guys were retiring, and the greatest demand for them was ten years before they appeared. Some recreated regiments would have loved to have them, as their original units carried them in the actual Civil War.

    Repair or replace

Re-enactor Besses often have the same break! One guy's Bess was 'resting' in the gun carriage when they started pulling it away! Snap! That's why you see the brass repair plates on them so often. The newer brown wood glue states it has a 4,000 lb. strength! Try it, put a 'cool' brass plate on...

    C.S. Richmond Rifled Musket?

Kind of an odd duck; will be interesting to see what the peanut gallery says...

    Escopetas again

This is such a small niche in terms of men actually re-enacting it; there's not likely to be any "mass produced" muskets from Pedersoli. (Wait for some guy to post that Jim Kibler should make one!😁)

Pedersoli announce a .54cal 'Hawken target rifle...

Considering the price of new ones, they may have to issue new designs to keep buyer's interest up! Wouldn't you love to know how many Brown Besses the sell per year? vs. maybe the India-made ones? With older Rev and Civil War enactors retiring, it's never a problem selling off a used Bess or...

M1776 British Rifled "Bess" Ordnance piece.

Got an nice old M1776 Ordnance Rifle from a pal; it was assembled by a PA gunsmith from Rifle Shoppe parts about 1980. As a rifled .62 cal., it has many 'personalities'! It's a Carbine! It's a Germanic-like rifle! It's a Short Bess! It's a Rifled Bess! You can see why it's a fun rifle to own...

Pedersoli announce a .54cal 'Hawken target rifle...

Pedersoli never makes a percussion REVOLVER, do they?? I recall many years ago, being all up for driving to Hamburg Cabela's when they had a sale for about $600! But it was Winter, cold, nasty, and I didn't want to drive up.

    Early PA season begins today

I don't hunt, but being a lifelong PA guy, I appreciate the overall gun culture and carry laws here. It's a huge State! Imagine being GIVEN it by the King! (Penn's dad got it, then Penn inherited it, I think!)

When did small caliber rifles become a thing and why?

Improvements in propellants, speed and accuracy of projectiles, simply overall modernization of ammunition. Lighter, smaller cartridges with improved distance capabilities.
