I have 4 from military Heritage Blunderbuss 1733 pistol fusee and Brown Bess they all needed work on the lock to lower the 500 lb trigger but that was easy enough to take care of they are strong and accurate guns
Years ago I had a Browning A-Bolt with a Leupold scope. I paid $800 for that gun and it wouldn't get on paper at 25 yards I also have a Savage bolt gun it is deadly accurate at 200... Just shoot the gun

Flints used to only last one or two shots on my India made fusee ,mainspring measured 40 lbs of pressure,after that I Recontoured the springs and the lock geometry now I get about 40 to 50 on a French amber flint

Make sure any pistol you use for stopping Kodiak bear has the Fairbanks mod done.That is removal of the front site.....since close in its not necessary and doesn't hurt so bad when the bear sticks said pistol up your ........
I would try swabbing after every shot if it's accuracy you are after..smokeless powder and copper jackets are worlds apart patched rb and blackpowder...
