    Built one this year added my own touches. My lock works pretty well with a few alterations also added a spring to trigger so it didn't flop around win lock was all the way forward.

    Does your state have a Flintlock ONLY season?

    When they first started it was ok but now we get what is left. That being said I still took a doe with one of my flintlocks in the Mo. Alternative weapons season as they call it.

    Try turning flint over and use thicker leather mine starts about half way down but is centered in pan.
