i use a small brass short starter with a mallet shape on one end and tap my starter to get it started then its just like any other. my bore mics at .470 which is what made me try the 451. Kibler SMR range report

These are all at 50yds. 45cal. it likes .451 balls and .018 ticking and 60 gr., 65 is good for a hunting load and the others were 55, 70, 75gr and it doesn't like them at all. 445 balls were ok but the 451 balls brought it to life. The rifles are shooters as long as you take the time to work...

    SMR common barrel color

I feel it worked great. Very easy to use. i used gray synthetic steel wool to rub it back to get the aged look and used different pressures to give it a lighter and darker color. I have been shooting the gun for about a month and it seems to be holding up very well.

Would like to see some .45 woodsrunners

I just finished my 45 smr, it is a slim rifle and light but can't see why it wouldn't hold to hunting in your woods unless you used it as a brush beater. I bought mine to deer hunt and whatever in Pennsylvania woods.

    Coning

I don't care what people shoot as long as it helps keep the shooting sports alive.

    Muzzleblast

I was going through my loading cabinet and found an old Muzzleblast magazine from May 1990. It was a blast from the past when i competed and nice to remember old friends and campfire stories. It was quite possibly one of the best times in my life.

    Traditions .32 cal. crockett rifle

It sounds as if it will do nicely for small game and plinking around and serve as a nice companion to my gpr.54. I have a line on a new in bow one with 100 balls, 200 caps and patching for $400.

    Lyman great plains rifle

This is my experience with my 54gpr.and maybe it will help you with your 50gpr.Mic your barrel and go with as tight as you can safely push down the barrel. My 54 shot ok with a .530 and .018 patching but i was not satisfied as i thought 2" groups at 50yds could be improved on as that was the...
