That is a beautiful rifle! I'd love to try my hand at building one again. I built several CVA kits back in the 70's and 80's. I found 30gr of fff hit the sweet spot for me. I'm casting my own balls using a Lee mold. .350 64gr. And a .010 patch. This what I'm shooting it out of. My TVM .36

As far as nipples go, I use Slix Shot on both of my 1860 Armys. I have one Pietta and one Uberti. There are other after market nipples that Ive heard are good, but never used them. Slix Shot is like night and day from the factory ones. I talked about them on another thread here...
