been shooting 70 gr of 3f in my 20 ga smooth bore for 25 years with a .600 rb. the gun really likes it.

    Sasquatch - Mountain Man Show

i have seen probably all of the shows since it started. alot of flaws and crap, but i do enjoy watching it better than the "wanna be" inline crowd that think they are doing something great with that type of gun. wish i could hunt some of the areas that he gets to go to.

    ballistics information?

i have used the lyman manual along with the rb ballistics calculator for my .32, .36 and .62 calibers on game and paper and they have been spot on. the .32 in particular, out to 100+ yards for woodchucks, has been right on.

    Pa Squirrel Season?

its been discussed on another forum just recently and really beat to death. this state seems to want to cater to the archery crowd and doesn't want to step on their toes. i guess a 7 week long season just isn't enough for them. (sorry for the rant!) we should get together and go on a squirrel...

    Pa Squirrel Season?

they have tried (last year), but i doubt it will ever happen because of the archery hunters. they don't want people "disturbing" THEIR season!

    Newbie needs flint advice.

    what part of PA, bob?

Which do you like better, 36 or 40 cal ?

same here with my douglas xx barrel. woodchucks out to 100 yards are not a problem, if the old eyes do their part. no loading or fouling problems at all.

    FPS with this load???

your numbers are right on. i also have done my own tests on paper and in the field. i shoot a .311 rb and 30 grains of 3f for woodchuck hunting. shot 38 last fall from 10 yards to a little under 100 yards and many at the 50,60, 70 and 80 yard mark and the drops are right on. awesome load for chucks!

    Christian Spring riffle...

i'm thinking on the same lines as you marc' on the gun i'm building. i want it to be nice, but not over the top. just a gun that the average man would have had built and maybe a small touch of extras, just a nice functional rifle.

    Roundballs for Elk

don't sweat the "grief", you have the upper hand in this case. practice and be ready. when you score on a nice elk, the pressure is on them :yakyak: i love being in those situations, it really makes you a better hunter  GOOD LUCK!

    Rear sights on smoothbores ?

i have always wondered myself about rear sights. i made a very simple one that is held on by the tang screw 25 years ago for my trade gun. i would have thought after several misses and not coming home with food, that someone would have put something on their guns to more accurate. it only makes...
