attaching ram rod pipes directly to barrel

With a 15/16" .45 cal I don't think too much heat should be a problem soldering on ramrod pipes. Try to use a low temp high tin solder. I wouldn't think a propane or mapp gas torch will generate enough heat to warp or damage the barrel...loojack

    Noone Is Authentic!

I AGREE! I think they're called "five minute experts" If you want to get them going ask about barn guns, you'll get answers about stick shift Cadillacs, and nobody would build a gun without a buttplate because you can get one for 8 bucks.. :rotf: ...loojack

    Pecatonica River

I ordered a Virginia stock in CM-1 wood on Monday and it arrived today! Very well done and the curl is along about 50 to 60% of the lenght with nice flame on the butt. (no jokes!:rotf: ) As to be expected one side has more figure than the other, but hey it's a CM-1 after all! Great folks to deal...

    Interesting gun and lock

Here's a question to ponder....What is the approximate time frame of a gun like this? Early 20th century?? :hmm: I know, I know it's a fantasy gun  ...loojack

    Pitchfork Gun

Flinttim, This has caught my interest, Is the striker rod attached to the barrel or stock? How? I've got an old muzzleloading shotgun barrel and a chunk of wood for a stock. I've gone to the TSC store and bought a hay rake tine plus two long nuts used to reinforce fence gates. Slowpoke was kind...

    First build mistakes

It doesn't sound so serious to me! I found a small drill press is real handy...I don't know how many barrel pin holes I've had to plug!!!! Nobody can turn $400 worth of parts into a $200 gun like me!!! :rotf: ...loojack
