    bore lube

Disappointed primarily with having to swab between shots after having read about using T1000+ and shooting all day. After 5 shots, I have a real mess.

    bore lube

I've not had super accurate results with my TC Hawken. So much so that I had considered using plastic parts and "J" word bullets. I had been using Bore Butter but then found that shooters have been using TC 1000+ with good accuracy and bore cleaning. My question is: Is T 1000+ a separate kind of...

I just purchased a .45 maxi-ball mold. What size handles would it take and where do I purchase them. Any used ones out there?

    round ball barrels

I will probably be in the 90 to 100 year old bracket before I can expect to see Green Mountain round ball barrels again manufactured. Does T/C make them for the Hawken yet? or am I just plain out of luck. Thanks buggybuilder

    venier site

I have a TC venier tang site that will not stand up in the shooting position. It seems to be missing a very small spring and ball bearing. Not sure. Does anyone know where I can get such a part or who replaces them. There must be some one out there that does this kind of work or sells parts...

    Renegade barrel

Does anyone make a .45 1-66 barrel for a TC Renegade that is 1" across the flats?

    nipple threads

I have a T/C Hawken and the nipple seems to not screw in easily. It would be possible to screw in all the way, but I don't want to cross thread it and ruin the plug. I want to run a tap in and "freshen" the threads. Is the correct tap size a 1/4 x 28? thanks Bob

    rough or rusty bore

Can someone please help me with some suggestions as to what I can do with my T/C .45 barrel? I bought this rifle used and afterwards found the barrel to be rusty about 1" from the breechplug. When I load, I can push the patched ball (lubed with olive oil) down to the breechplug, but the bore is...

lyman gpr double loaded, what now?

I loaded a double ball with a powder charge this spring and could not pound them down with a hammer. They were about 6 inches from the muzzle. I soaked them with "Kroil" for about 2 days and when I tried to screw the ball puller in, the whole load easily when to the breech end of the barrel and...

    LMF blueing

I'm finally going to brown and blue tomorrow. I'm going to use LMF. Do I need to put all of the required coats on in one day or can this system be interrupted and finish them on another day? If this is possible, where would my breaking point be? Thanks Bob

    .45 loads

I was using Goex 3F..I tried 60 and 65 gr. no difference between the two as far as how they print on the target. For patches I was using twice washed .018 pillow ticking from Walmart. Bore butter for lube. I miked all of my round balls this morning and they all are .440 either Hornady or Speer...

    .45 loads

Every shot loads hard. I wipe between every shot. I was using SPEER .440 round balls.

    .45 loads

I know this subject has been discussed about a million times but..... I'm having trouble with my T/C .45 I tried and want to continue to use a patch round ball load in this rifle. It is TC Hawken .45 veneir rear tang site with proper front globe and post insert. I'm using a .440 round ball and...

    group size

Thanks to all those that contributed to solving my group size problem. I'll tell you what I did. I use a .535 round ball, .018 pillow tick patch' with bore butter, a .54 over the powder wad and went from #11 mag caps to the standard #11. I increased my powder charge from 70 to 85 gr. of ffg. My...

I also forgot to add: this shooting was done off the bench and I will probably only use this rifle for deer hunting. Thanks!
