Armisport Kentucky Charlton Heston NRA Commemorative

I am on a lot of gun forums and from what I hear, these guns are overpriced unless you want it for a collection addition. For a shooter, it would be a conversation piece but I am told on the open market there is very little market for it. That said, I certainly would like to have one if the...

    Kit suggestions

I am too much of a coward to tackle some of the rough parts in a box projects the first time around. I would be far more comfortable buying a cheap kit from Sportsmanguide.com and seeing how I do on it before spending a lot of money and mess something up. My two cents worth.

    First Gun Build Questions

I would never have the nerve to start a complete build from a blank stock. First, I would go to a place like Sportsmanguide.com and buy one of their kits which only take a bit of wood work. That would be my first time around. If that worked well, then I might progress to a more complex build...

scpe mounts for CVA Mountain rifle 50 cal

I have a 50 cal CVA Mountain rifle and would like to find a way to mount some kind of optics to assist very old eyes that do not see as well as they did. The rear sight only has one very small screw holding the rear sight and it seems impossible to me but am hoping some of you might have an...

Question about Traditions Kentucky .50 caliber percussion rifle

Am wondering about any known issues with the Kentucky .50 percussion or flint rifle. It seeems to be a good "starter" rifle for newbes like me. Any one with first hand experience with this one? I hope this question is not breaking the rules of the forum. If so, forgive me.

    Hello from Texas

Welcome from a displaced West Texan. For us, Alpine is beyond Ft. Davis, not in Ft. Worth! LOL I too, have just joined and spend my time reading the various postings to try and learn something. Do not have a ML firearm as of yet so am an armchair participant! One o these day! enjoy the...

    greetings from SW Missouri

Thanks to all of you for making me welcome. I have a decent collection of milsurps and now am ready for the MLs. I have really learned a lot from reading the many posts on the forums. Yes, I will try and find a way to get my hands on one. Interesting enough, my own son-in-law has a Hawken...

    Budget rifle?

Our gun shows here in SW Missouri have very few traditional MLs. The rage is the new inline ones. One would think with that being the case the traditional MLs would really be cheap. I don't see very many at our gun shows. Either they are snatched up by the very first peple who get in the...

    Budget rifle?

I too, am looking for my first ML. I really want a long barreled one such as the Penn or Kentucky rifles have. Just love the long ones. Never fired any of them so am not speaking from experience. I assume the longer ones would be more expensive in the used market? I just want to get into...

    greetings from SW Missouri

Am a displaced Texan living in SW Missouri. Love guns of all types, expecially milsurps and very old ones. :) Don't have a muzzleloader yet, still trying to decide what to get. I love the long barrels of the Penn and Kentucky rifles. Assumed the precussion is easier to use than flint...
