    Patch lube?

I use standard Windex and the fouling melts completely away. Use it after every 10-15 rounds at the range. Continue shooting with lubed patches and a round ball. Lube is home brew of equal parts bees wax, olive oil and murphys soap oil. After a day at the range hit it with the Windex, run dry...

    Uberti vs. Pietta

Have a 1860 Army Pieta.Very disappointed. The two pins that hold the barrel to the frame broke as a result of recoil. Frame showed buldges aroung the holes. Slot where wedge pin holds barrel to frame became enlarged. I suspect the temper of the steel was poor. Notch on hammer for sear engagement...

    Draw filing prior to browning

Will be browning a TOW kit barrel. Any advise on whether to draw file or just use emory cloth prior to browning? I hear that the browning solution works best on a rougher surface. If it's draw filing, any tips on the correct procedure would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the help.
